Harold Brenner
November 2, 1938 – July 18, 2026
Service Details
Harold "Hal" Brenner, 87, of Cedar Ridge, died July 18, 2026, at Lee’s Summit Medical Center.
Hal served two tours in the Army before coming home to open Brenner Auto Repair, which he ran for 38 years on the north side of the square. He could fix anything with an engine and most things without one. He loved the Kansas City Royals, black coffee, and telling the same six jokes to everyone who walked into the shop - all of whom laughed anyway.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma, and is survived by his sons Dale and Kenneth, five grandchildren, and a garage full of tools nobody else knows how to use.
Arrangements entrusted to Hartwell & Sons Funeral Home.

Condolences
Hal never missed a home game in forty years. The bleachers will not be the same. Rest easy, my friend.
— Coach Denny Wilcox
Hal kept our trucks running for thirty years and never once let us pay full price. A good, good man. We are so sorry, Dale and Kenny.
