About Us
Hartwell & Sons Funeral Home was founded in 1954 by Raymond Hartwell, who believed a funeral home should feel like a neighbor’s house, not an institution. Three generations later, the same family carries on the work in the same building on Sycamore Street, updated over the years but unchanged in spirit.
We are members of this community: our children went to school here, we worship here, and we shop on the same square you do. When you call us, you are calling people who very likely knew the one you lost. That is a responsibility we do not take lightly.

In the Community
You will find us sponsoring the Cedar Ridge youth baseball league each spring, serving pancakes at the fire department fundraiser, and hosting a free community remembrance service every December for the families we have served that year.
